What We Believe

GOD'S GRACE

We are an independent missionary baptist church whose teachings hinge on the fact that only God’s grace is what saves man from sin (Ephesians 2:8- For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:

OUR PURPOSE

Is to follow Christ and make Disciples. Matthew 28:19-20: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

our values

Mark 12:30-31: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

missions

New Hope is proud to give 20% of our contributions to offer financial and prayerful support for many missionaries, both locally and abroad.

god's salvation plan

1. God’s Plan—Peace and Eternal Life

God loves you and wants you to experience the  peace and eternal life that comes from knowing Him.

The BIBLE says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only  begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

2. Our Problem—Separation

Being at peace with God is not automatic, because by your sin nature you are separated from God.  “What sin nature ?” you ask.  By Adam’s defiance of God’s Law, which was sin, we all, as descendants, inherit that sinful nature.

The BIBLE says: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23).

3. God’s Remedy—The Cross

God’s love bridges the gap of separation between God and you. When Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave, He paid the penalty for your sins.

The BIBLE says: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. ” (1 Peter 2:24).

4. Our Response—Receive Christ

You cross the bridge into God’s family when you receive Christ by

personal invitation.

The BIBLE says: “But as many as received him, to them gave He    power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:12).

To receive Christ you must do four things:

1. ADMIT your spiritual need. “I am a sinner.”

2. REPENT and be willing to turn from your sin.

3. BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross.

4. RECEIVE, through prayer, Jesus Christ into your heart and life.

CHRIST says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  ” (Revelation 3:20).

The BIBLE says, “Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved”

(Romans 10:13).

What to Pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on Calvary’s cross for my sins. I want to turn away from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

a new life in jesus christ

prayer

Once you come to know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, there is a growth process that is important for your relationship with God to strengthen and thrive. God knows everything about you, but He wants you to know Him in a more meaningful way. Prayer is core to your relationship, but it doesn't have to be complicated. Begin talking to God like a friend, and do it every day.

read your bible

The Bible is God's Holy Word to us. When we read it, we learn truths about God's character, His perfect ways, and His plans for us. God also communicates to us as we read the Bible, and the Holy Spirit "speaks" to our heart. There is a reason the Bible is called "The Living Word". You can read the same verses again and again, and each time something new can be revealed. Not sure where to start? Begin with the New Testament.

a biblical church

Get involved in a good church. One that stands firmly on God's Word and teaches the truth of the Bible. Involvement doesn't just mean church attendance. Get connect through ministries, serving, and volunteer opportunities. Involvement gives you a greater sense of purpose in helping others to know Jesus.

christian friendships

Staying on the Christian path is not always easy. Developing friendships with others who love our Lord Jesus Christ is very important. Isolation and lack of interaction with stable Christians is what pulls most people away from their good intentions of loving and serving God. Knowing that you have other Christians to support you with prayer and encouragement is one of God's greatest gifts.
